Software that doesn't need your files to work.
EnvoiOK is a PDF editor and a standards-based e-invoice creator, built for one constraint: your documents shouldn't have to leave your machine to get the job done.
Why now
France's B2B e-invoicing mandate lands in 2026 — every business invoicing another business will need to send and receive Factur-X, a structured format layered inside a normal PDF. Most tools built for this ask you to upload your invoices to someone else's server first. We didn't think that should be the price of compliance.
What we build
One desktop app: a full PDF toolkit (merge, split, compress, sign) and an EN 16931 invoice creator, sharing the same in-memory, non-destructive core. Two problems, one licence, no separate tool to learn.
If it doesn't have to touch a server, it doesn't.
Editing happens in memory, on your machine. The handful of features that do call a server — server-assisted conversion, licensing, support — are opt-in, EU-hosted, and documented in detail, not buried in a privacy policy nobody reads.
A few rules we don't break.
Standards over formats
EN 16931, Factur-X/ZUGFeRD, PDF/A-3 — open, published standards. Never a proprietary format you'd need us to open.
EU infrastructure only
The servers we do run sit in Nürnberg, Wien and Paris. No data leaves the EU, full stop.
Closed-source-safe dependencies
No GPL or AGPL libraries, ever — a real constraint on what we can build with, kept because it has to be, not because it's convenient.
Credit where it's due
EnvoiOK is built on real open-source work — Qt, LibreOffice, pikepdf and others. The full list, with licenses →
